Reading and Writing

 

Classes will be held for different age ranges.

During week one, the groups will read through their respective age-appropriate reading comprehension materials and vocabulary sheets. There will be weekly quizzes to ensure that the vocabulary is retained. Their knowledge of English grammar shall be developed, as well, through exercises and discussions.

​

In the following week, we will focus on writing their thoughts using a variety of writing types and essays in different formats. We will look at style, self-correction, drafts, and criticism.

​

The sequence will alternate week to week to give a balanced approach to the class focus of reading and writing.
